logoynhhospital2xJoin an organization where APPs lead APPs and help shape the future of Advanced Practice.

As part of our organization, every employee understands and shares in the YNHHS Vision, supports our Mission, and lives our Values. These values – integrity, patient-centered, respect, accountability, and compassion – must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.

The APP is responsible for direct management of medical and postoperative pediatric cardiac patients, in close collaboration with a pediatric cardiac intensivist. S/he participates as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.  In collaboration with other team members, this provider participates in program development, protocol development, and teaching/mentoring.  The APP is committed to continuous learning and developing expertise in pediatric cardiology.

APPS at our organization enjoy a new pay program (implemented at the end of 2019), excellent benefits including three concurrent retirement programs, shift differentials in addition to salary, and soon will enjoy new, expanded, career ladder opportunities.

We are seeking individuals with at least 3 years of APP experience.   Must have a strong cardiac background and/or ICU experience as either a nurse or APP.   Pediatric ICU and/or pediatric cardiac ICU experience preferred. Must have a CT RN license and Connecticut APRN license, as well as Certification as a PNP/FNP; or comparable PA licensure and certification.
