Practice Questions, An Exciting New CHD Resource, SPCN Ballot (new Link) – Check Them Out!

Society of Pediatric Cardiovascular Nurses Ballot

Hello,

I have received several completed ballots, but have also heard that some of you had difficulty opening the link.  I have attached it in a pdf format in hopes that this works better.

I have also added information about a link and information about a CHD network (CHIP Network) to the website under news.  The link to sign up to this network is: www.chipnetwork.org

Two members are also seeking answers to practice questions.  The questions are below along with their email addresses for your responses.  By responding to these questions you help to develop evidence based practices for patients with CHD.  I hope that you will take a couple of minutes to answer these important queries.

QUESTION 2 -

Approximately how many adult patients had closure of their ASD percutaneously in your cath lab within the last 12 months?

Mary Heitschmidt is currently working on my dissertation research of which the focus is  Quality of Life in newly diagnosed Adults with ASD, who require percutaneous closure in the catheterization lab. Recruitment for this longitudinal study is challenging. At this point in my work,  I want to reach out to other hospitals to determine if they might be a potential future site for recruiting subjects.

Please help Mary in her quest for subjects for this important study. Send your answer to :

or phone 312-942-9615.

Mary Heitschmidt RN, APN, Phd(c), CCRN, CNS Rush Conter for Congenital and Structural Heart Disease

Thanks for helping these members!
