We are looking for nurses who have a passion for cardiac intensive care to join our cardiac critical care team in Delaware as we increase from 10 to 14 beds. Shifts available are:

Full-time, day & night shifts, 12 hours

Part-time, day & night shifts, 12 hours

The Nemours Cardiac Center (NCC) provides comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents with cardiac, thoracic and vascular disease. The Cardiac Center provides patient care, performs research, and educates and trains health care professionals consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Nemours Foundation. We take care of simple to complex cardiac patients, including ECMO, VADs and transplant patients.

Responsibilities:

Assess and document initial and ongoing patient needs and problems.

Formulate nursing plan based on patient needs and problems, and indicate plan on the patient care plan.

Develop realistic and appropriate long- and short-term goals based on patient/family needs.

Implement patient plan of care.

Evaluate the patient’s and family’s response to care, and modify care plan accordingly.

Assist patient and family in discharge planning so that problems and care needs are anticipated and met.

Serve as an advocate for patient and family in working with other members of the health care team.

Requirements:

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

BSN preferred.

Must be an experienced nurse.

Experience in pediatric/cardiac and/or critical care nursing preferred.

Current or be eligible for registration with Delaware State Board of Nursing.
