Nemours is seeking Registered Nurses – CICU, 7pm-7am – full-time – 72 hours every two weeks and
60 hours every two weeks to join our team in Delaware.

To keep pace with the changing health care environment and build a healthier future for our
children, Nemours has embarked on a multi-phase expansion to create a children’s hospital like
no other in the region. Upon completion in June 2014, the hospital will include private, family-
centered, technologically advanced patient rooms, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and a new
expanded Emergency Department.
We are looking nurses with a passion for cardiology and peditric nursing to join our
cardiac critcal care team. Thess are night shift positions, 7pm-7am, every third weekend.
The Nemours Cardiac Center (NCC) provides comprehensive care for infants, children and
adolescents with cardiac, thoracic and vascular disease. The Cardiac Center provides patient
care, performs research, and educates and trains health care professionals consistent with the
Mission, Vision and Values of the Nemours Foundation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assesses and documents initial and ongoing patient needs and problems.
- Formulates nursing plan based on patient needs and problems and indicates plan on the patient care plan.
- Develops realistic and appropriate long- and short-term goals based on patient/family needs.
- Implements patient plan of care.
- Evaluates the patient’s and family’s response to care and modifies care plan accordingly.
- Assists patient and family in discharge planning so that problems and care needs are anticipated and met.
- Serves as an advocate for patient and family in working with other members of the health care team.
- Provides safe and appropriate nursing care through adherence to Nursing Department standards.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Must be an experienced nurse.
- Previous experience in pediatric/cardiac and or critical care nursing preferred.
- Current or be eligible for registration with Delaware State Board of Nursing.
