Nemours is seeking a Cardiac Outpatient Clinical Services Manager to join our team in Wilmington, DE.

Serve as a health care professional with primary responsibility for leadership and management of patient-focused cardiac outpatient clinic services providing high-quality patient care within a pre-determined budget. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cardiac Center’s Outpatient offices at AIDHC and for providing assistance with surrounding Cardiac Clinic satellite offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. Responsible for participating in departmental and hospital programs for Quality Assessment and Improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendations and implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the Nemours Foundation.

Responsible for hiring, supervising, managing, training and evaluating the clinical staff of the Cardiac Center’s Outpatient Services at AIDHC, including cardiac-employed staff in NJ and Delaware satellites. This involves medical assistants, ECG technicians, Holter monitor technician, nurses and clerical staff. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff in patient care activities. This includes clinic operations, phone triage, documentation, performance of cardiac-related studies, sedations, coordinating pre-operative surgery patients, facilitating admissions from clinic, and managing subspecialty groups of patients with the assistance of the patient’s cardiologist. Also responsible for managing the day-to-day activities in the ECG lab and Holter lab, ensuring that studies are performed, interpreted, resulted and billed in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 5 years experience.
  • Needs extensive pediatric cardiology knowledge base.
  • Valid professional registered nurse license in the state/states of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
