Cardiology Nursing at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas

Now celebrating its 100th anniversary, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas is a private, not-for-profit pediatric healthcare system. We are the fifth largest pediatric provider in the nation and the only academic healthcare facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of neonates and children from birth to age 18.

Children’s provides specialized treatment in heart disease, hematology-oncology and cystic fibrosis. In addition, Children’s is a major pediatric kidney, liver, intestine, heart and bone marrow transplant center. As the primary pediatric teaching facility for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, the medical staff at Children’s conducts research that is instrumental in developing treatments, therapies, and greater understanding of pediatric diseases.

Children’s is licensed for 559 beds at our two campuses in Dallas and Plano, and has more than 50 subspecialty programs. The Dallas hospital was the first pediatric hospital in the southwest designated as a Level I trauma center. In addition, we have an outpatient specialty center in Southlake and 13 My Children’s locations that provide primary care to medically underserved children in our service area.

The Heart Center at Children’s has full-time openings for experienced cardiac intensive care unit RNs – previous experience in ICU or NICU will be considered.
